Mentors 3 Project: Matt Ulrich Foundation Website Design

Our first meeting was in early November. Dylan, my mentor Kate, and I have been meeting with Koby every Monday to discuss content for the Matt Ulrich Website. This included information for pages like, the Home page, About Us page, Pump & Run page, and Scholarship Program.

Dylan and I were also asked to design a logo for the Matt Ulrich Foundation. Dylan and I had to incorporate the Foundation’s mission statement into the logo. Dylan and I came up with some logos to show the board and with the help of Nate. We created a logo for the Matt Urich Foundation.

After several meetings, all the content was collected. NOW Marketing Group designed and coded the beta site. After the beta site was created, Dylan, Kate and I worked on putting the content and pictures we have collected into the pages on the website. Dylan and I have also been working on a signup sheet for the Matt Ulrich Annual Pump & Run.

I have learned lots about web design and a little about coding since the project has started. I’m in charge of the Delphos City Schools website, and I plan on using my skills to help improve the school’s website.

Dylan and I have also experienced how a company like NOW Marketing works with clients and how important communication skills are required to get a job done. Dylan has learned how important time management skills are and how meeting deadlines is very important. Dylan is using these skills every day to manage his busy schedule with his job and school work.
